Jesus Gives Us Peace by Suffering on Our Behalf ㅡ

 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was on him; and with his stripes we are healed.”

 (Isaiah 53:5)

The reconciliation provided for us in the atonement of Christ is the foundation of our peace.

Satan is our destroyer, but Christ is our restorer.

We must put faith into constant exercise, and trust in God, whatever our feelings may be.

Isaiah says: “Who is among you that feareth the Lord, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light?

let him trust in the name of the Lord, and stay upon his God.”

Consider the fact that the Lord has given His only begotten Son, “that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” 

 (Lift Him Up 332)
