​To the ATA Leadership Committee, 

Congratulations and welcome to the birth of a new mission organization dedicated to reawakening young adults, especially in America, to join the mission movement. The initiation of the ATA (Adventists to Asia) mission movement is undoubtedly a significant step forward in hastening the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. Particularly at a time when many organizations in the United States focus primarily on Africa and Central/South America, establishing a mission organization centered on Asia clearly reflects God's will.

Asia is the continent in most urgent need of mission work and shares cultural similarities with us.

Especially notable is North India, where I am currently ministering, which poses significant missionary challenges as it has a population of over 800 million yet less than 1% identify as Christian.

Here, we dream of creating an "Antioch of South Asia" for the 21st century, and we have already launched various mission initiatives: the 1000 Missionary Movement for short-term mission training, the Gate Theology College for long-term missionary training, and Medical & Dental Mission Centre and schools to support the work. Although we face numerous challenges and difficulties, we clearly witness God guiding this mission.

The words of Matthew 24:14, "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come," remind us that mission work in Asia, including India, is an immediate priority.

We invite young adults to join us in this frontline mission base in South Asia, bringing their diverse talents in medical missions, educational missions, music missions, computer missions, and more. Your involvement will unquestionably prepare both you and the mission field for the

second coming of our Lord. This mission program, especially with the participation of Korean and Korean-American students together, promises an exciting and enriching mission experience.

미국을 중심으로 다시 청년들을 깨우고 선교에 동참하게 하는 새로운 선교 단체의 탄생을 축하하며 환영합니다. ATA (Adventist to Asia) 선교운동의 시작은 우리 주님의 재림을 분명 한발 앞 당기는 일에 중요한 시작이 되리라 생각됩니다. 특별히 미국의 많은 단체들이 아프리카와 중남미에 집중하고 있을 때 아시아를 중심으로 한 선교단체를 일으키신 것은 분명 하나님의 뜻이라 생각됩니다. 

아시아는 선교가 가장 필요한 대륙임과 동시에 우리와 동일한 아시아 문화권입니다. 그 중에서도 제가 사역 하고 있는 인도의 북쪽은 인구가 약 8억명 이상이지만 기독교 비율은 1%도 채 되지 않아 선교에 큰 도전이 되고 있습니다.  

이곳에 저희는 21세기 남아시아의 안디옥을 꿈꾸며 단기 선교 훈련을 위해서 1000명 선교사 운동, 장기 선교 훈련을 위해서 게이트 선교 신학 대학교, 선교의 오른 팔이 될 의료 선교 센터 및 학교, 등을 시작하였습니다. 이 일을 하며 많은 도전들과 어려움을 받지만 또렷이 하나님께서 이 일을 이끄시고 계심을 보고 있습니다.  

마태복음 24장 14절의 말씀, “이 천국 복음이 모든 민족에게 증거되기 위하여 온 세상에 전파되리니 그제야 끝이 오리라”는 말씀이 이루어 지기 위해서는 인도를 포함한 아시아 선교는 급선무라고 생각합니다.  

남아시아의 선교 전초기지에서 함께 봉사할 젊은 일꾼들을 초청합니다. 의료 선교, 교육 선교, 음악 선교, 컴퓨터 선교, 등 각자의 다양한 재능들을 가지고 선교에 동참하실 수 있습니다. 이 일은 분명 여러분과 선교지가 주님의 재림을 준비하는 일이 될 것입니다.  특별히 한국 학생들과 미국의 학생들이 함께 참여하는 이 선교 프로그램은 흥미진진한 선교 경험이 될 것입니다.
