Jesus Makes Them Holy and Blameless Who Live in the Hope of the Gospel ㅡ
“And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;”
(Colossians 1:21-23)
Satan was exulting that he had succeeded in debasing the image of God in humanity. Then Jesus came to restore in man the image of his Maker.
None but Christ can fashion anew the character that has been ruined by sin.
He came to expel the demons that had controlled the will.
He came to lift us up from the dust, to reshape the marred character after the pattern of His divine character, and to make it beautiful with His own glory.
(The Desire of Ages 37.3)
