By Giving Us a New Heart of Love, Jesus Makes Us Live Forever ㅡ
“A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.”
(Ezekiel 36:26)
“We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.”
(1 John 3:14)
Mere forgiveness of sin is not the sole result of the death of Jesus.
He made the infinite sacrifice not only that sin might be removed, but that human nature might be restored, rebeautified, reconstructed from its ruins, and made fit for the presence of God.
If any one of us shall finally be saved, it will be by clinging to Jesus as to the rounds of a ladder.
Christ is made unto the believer wisdom and righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.
