To His Believers Jesus Entrusts the Bread of Life That Revives the Dead ㅡ
“If you forbear to deliver them that are drawn to death, and those that are ready to be slain;” (Proverbs 24:11)
Many forget that to them has been entrusted the bread of life for those starving for salvation.
Christ gave Himself for sinners. With what anxiety for the salvation of souls we should be filled as we see human beings perishing in sin!
These souls have been bought at an infinite price. The death of the Son of God on Calvary’s cross is the measure of their value.
Day by day they are deciding whether they will have eternal life or eternal death.
And yet men and women professing to serve the Lord are content to occupy their time and attention with matters of little importance.
“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he comes shall find so doing.”
(Matthew 24:45, 46)
